Nickel and Copper Dip; Stainless Steel Market Braces for Demand Uptick
Stainless steel prices remain steady despite minor downward fluctuations in nickel and copper markets. Domestic retail prices for 304 CR and 316L HR stainless steel are stable, with imported materials slightly cheaper than Indian alternatives. Demand is improving across 200, 300, and 400 series, driven by material shortages and increasing preference for No.4 PVC finishes.

- SS 400 series prices are also expected to remain on the steeper side, because of the BIS issue.
- SS 200 series is also expected to perform very well domestically, as imports are choked.
